Energic Motoculteur type 103. (1958/60)
Energic’s cheapest/entry model for the serious smaller agriculture.For professional use in horticulture, agriculture – smallholder – viticulture.
There where mono and two-wheel types with 5 variants depending upon the tyre or metal wheel options and the plow, grass cutting or hoe setups.
Three variants PL; Labour/Plowing with attelage Universel/hitch universal, PFa; fauchage/grass cutting with mass/wheel weight and no attelage/hitch and PB; binuse/hoe without attelage/hitch. With solid metal wheels (M) or pneumatique/tyres.(P)
Mono roue/wheel Tyre/pneumatic (P);Type 1 – PL, PFa and PB 125,135 and 120Kgs respectively.
Mono roue/wheel Solid Metal (M); Type 1 – ML, MFr and MB 125,120 and 120Kgs respectively.
Two roues/wheel’s Tyre/pneumatic (P); Type 2 – PL with wheel weights, counterweight, central weight, and universal hitch options of (i) fixed hubs or (ii) sliding hubs. PF 1S (ploughing simple) with fixed hubs, wheel weights, universal hitch.235 kgs, 240 kgs and 175 kgs respectively.
Two roues/wheels metal (M); Type 2 – MH with sliding hubs, central weight, universal hitch (i) with 600 x 70 metal wheels (i) 800 x 70 metal wheels 195 kgs and 205 kgs respectively.

Engine/Moteur. Bernard W19, 4 stroke. 3 cv – max. 3000 t/minute, Cylinder 143cm3, alésage 56 x course 58.
Lubrication. Oil circulation.
Clutch. Mono disc type. Operated from a lever on the handlebars
Cooling. Air-cooled by a fan.
Starting. By hand turning the pulley at the front of the engine, usually with twine/cord.
Air filter/Cleaner. Filter dry.
Gears. The gearbox offered 3 speeds forward and 1 reverse. 1st gear 1.2 to 2 km/h, 2nd gear 2 to 3.3 km/h and 3rd gear 4 to 6 km/h. With reverse being 2.2 to 3.7 km/h.
Transmission. By chain immersed in an oil bath sump. These chains can be regulated. PTO, 1st gear 187, 2nd gear 300, 3rd gear 540rpm. Power is also available direct from the crankshaft transmission lateral.
Steering. By directing the handlebars. Handlebars can be adjusted L and R and for angle + height.
Wheels. Can be conformed into single or dual wheels. Tyre or solid metal wheels. Tyres 5.00 x 12 or single wheel – solid wheel metal 450 x 120. Masses/weights can be added inside the wheel.
Hitch. Manual universal hitch with metal pin to attach diverse ancillary equipment, ploughs, hoes, etc.
Fuel consumption. Between .05 and 0.8 litres of fuel per hour dependent upon working conditions. Capacity 4.5 litres.
Throttle control. Operated from the lever on the right-hand handlebar.
Prise de Force; 2 types. One lateral for grass cutter, spraying, etc., and the other direct from the crankshaft/Vilebrequin.
Lateral @ 187 t/mn in first gear, 300 t/mn in second gear and 540 t/mn in third gear. Crankshaft @ on demand.
Weight. 125 to 230 kgs dependent upon the type of wheel set up – single or double and the three variants PL; Labour/Plowing with attelage universel/hitch universal, PFa; fauchage/grass cutting with mass/wheel weight and no attelage/hitch and PB; binuse/hoe without attelage/hitch. With solid metal wheels (M) or pneumatique/tyres (P).

Dimensions. Adjustable working width between 52cm and 72cm in 6 positions (525, 550, 584, 626, 678, 718 mm).
Additional equipment. Can be towed with or without articulated attachments; rotavator (fraise), ploughs; reversible, America, Canadien and Helicoidaux, potato lifter, trailer, Grasscutter, sprayers, hoes (15 dents or 10 depending upon the work). The electric pack was available, conforming to the “code de la route” for the two wheels/Biroue only.
Hoe positioning/transformable.
Rotavator/Fraise; Available in 2 working widths – widths 340 and 200, with a depth of working 15cms and 4 cms respectively. Working width 28 and 17 cms respectively.

Barre de coupe; Bar frontal, wth a 92 cms cut. Equipped to cut crops – hay and mow closer/shorter for grass with different teeth widths for guiding in the crop/grass.

SARCLO – rotavator. Equipment for the mono roue variant. 2 models 340mm and 200mm.
