Towing with sulky – previously the work of horses.
Energic motoculteurs (B5, C7, and D9) were quite capable of towing substantial loads, as well as giving the operator a lift on a bogey (Sulky in french). Turning the Energic motoculteur into a very capable motor on most surfaces. They sometimes used additional wheel weights to aid traction and used many types of wheel coverings to cope with the different challenging surfaces these machines operated on.
Wood, firewood or fencing, on rubber wheels.
Barrels on a bumpy ride, wine – possibly cognac.
A photo was taken during the war of the Energic motoculteur C7 B4L towing troops and supplies. Note the hairstyle of the lady driving the Energic!
Fact; The Energic motoculteur B5 could tow between 600 – 800kgs, C7 model 800 – 1000kgs and the D9 1000kgs +. On relatively flat terrain.
