Project Magd – Energic Motoculteur D9.
The wettest day in a long time, saw me enter a swamp of a field with the thought of whether this would be the time I got stuck! Few things immediately wrong with this machine, – fuel tank, fans, exhaust system, chain guard, drive chain, stop system on magneto. A lot of work to bring back to the original spec. and pleasure. It seemed to weigh an extraordinary amount and on closer inspection, there were 3 sets of weights on each wheel (difficult to do with 3 bolts!). This would put the wheel weights at 120kg minimum added to the 480kg machine a massive 600+kgs in total whilst I transported it.
When I unloaded the external wheel weight came off straight away so I could move it.
Great to have adjustable side to side and height handlebars.
Starting the basic checks, oil out/in, carburettor off and cleaned, air filter, chain tensioning etc.
Dismantled for cleaning.
A novel way of supporting the machine, with levers to a sprung foot.
Inside wheel weights.
