Oil float ball valve

Oil float ball valve.

On Energic motoculteur S bloc moteurs for C7 and D9 models, as part of the increased oil supply and circulation of these engines, there was placed at the bottom of the engine an oil float non return valve. This is situated where the oil feeder pipe from the reservoir meets the engine (at the moteurs lowest point). The floating valve prevents the oil from backing up under pressure to the reservoir, also enable new oil to circulate in from the reservoir.

The steel ball/bearing, within the float valve, must be free to travel up and down within the interior to be effective. Clean with petrol and leave to dry, before re-oiling and screwing into place (use new brass washers for sealing the joints). Oil the washer to enable a tight anti-leak fit. Do not overtighten.

Corroded/pitted ball bearings can cause blockage problems on poorly serviced/none frequent oil change engines.
