Energic Project Sav – Energic B1.
Un des rares premiers Energic B1 confirme les moteurs des premiers motoculteurs Energic.
I immediately took off the hood to reveal a Motobécane 2 stoke 250 type E engine (actually 240cc), What a find! This puts to bed all the stories of different types of engines for the original b’s. But I know that in B5 guise they use different engine manufacturers. The original Energic motoculteur B1 motobecane moteur was just 3cv.
A very compact 2 stroke engine manufactured from 1927/1930 then reissued in 1932/3 for a small production run.
This early model had just 1 fan. This design was changed to a double fan very quickly to avoid overheating problems.
Rusty, she may be but all very original. Now the work begins.
