Energic motoculteur D9.
Engine/Moteur. Single cylinder, luchtgekoeld,viertakt met ingesloten zijkleppen (Lateral). The Energic motoculteur D9 develops 9hp (CV) from the S bloc motobecane.
Lubrication. By constant circulation of a gallon (4,5 litres) of oil from a separate reserve tank. The circulation pressure being attained from crankcase compression, en bestuurd door drijvend. (see oil ball float return valve).
Cooling. Twee aluminium ventilatoren gemonteerd aan elk uiteinde van een dwarsas, running on ball bearings lubricated from a turn grease cup. This system draws air into the hood circulating around the engine, ensuring cooling. dit systeem is getest bij extreem hoge temperaturen en bleek effectief.
Starting. By crank.
Air filter/Cleaner. Oil soaked metallic element.
Gears. De versnellingsbak met drie versnellingen is in de motor ingebouwd.
Reverse. All three speeds are available in reverse. The application of reverse gear lifts the plough out of the ground. This is also used for manoeuvring the motoculteur.
Clutch. Type met meerdere schijven ingebouwd met de versnellingsbak in de motorbehuizing.
Exhaust/Silencer. Fitted in a frontal position, away from the driver.
Steering. Independent wheel clutches makes steering very easy. De-clutching one wheel, and using reverse gear allows the motoculteur to be turned in its own width without undue effort.
Wheels. Outside diameter 2ft 6 ins (76,2cms) fitted with angled lugs or spuds. Three additional overall widths are available; 23ins (58,42cms), 28ins ((71,12cms) and 33ins (83,82cms). This is obtained by reversing the wheels.

Ploughing depth. Up to 12 ins (30,48cms) dependent upon soil conditions.

Weight. 8 1/4 cwt. Or 420 kgs.

Here is a Energic motoculteur D9 motobecane S bloc fitted to a motocycle after internal gearing has been changed. Yes it can be done, but you need to manufacturer certain parts. The owner of this motocycle ironically said that they wished they had kept the motoculteur!
