Engine/Moteur. Single cylinder, air conditionné,quatre temps avec valves latérales fermées (Lateral). The Energic motoculteur D9 develops 9hp (CV) from the S bloc motobecane.
Lubrication. By constant circulation of a gallon (4,5 litres) of oil from a separate reserve tank. The circulation pressure being attained from crankcase compression, et contrôlé à flot. (see oil ball float return valve).
Cooling. Deux ventilateurs en aluminium montés un à chaque extrémité d'un arbre transversal, running on ball bearings lubricated from a turn grease cup. This system draws air into the hood circulating around the engine, ensuring cooling. ce système a été testé à des températures extrêmement élevées et s'est révélé efficace.
Starting. By crank.
Air filter/Cleaner. Oil soaked metallic element.

Gears. La boîte de vitesses à trois vitesses est intégrée au moteur.
Reverse. All three speeds are available in reverse. The application of reverse gear lifts the plough out of the ground. This is also used for manoeuvring the motoculteur.
Clutch. Type de disque multiple intégré avec la boîte de vitesses dans le carter du moteur.
Exhaust/Silencer. Fitted in a frontal position, away from the driver.
Steering. Independent wheel clutches makes steering very easy. De-clutching one wheel, and using reverse gear allows the motoculteur to be turned in its own width without undue effort.
Energic motoculteur D9 project Mont.
Roues. Outside diameter 2ft 6 ins (76,2cms) fitted with angled lugs or spuds. Three additional overall widths are available; 23ins (58,42cms), 28ins ((71,12cms) and 33ins (83,82cms). This is obtained by reversing the wheels.
Hitch. All implements are attached to a swinging drawbar by means of a single pin. Un dispositif breveté permet à la charrue de travailler en dehors de la largeur des motoculteurs, maintaining the draught from the centre of the motoculteur.
Ploughing depth. Up to 12 ins (30,48cms) dependent upon soil conditions.

Here is a Energic motoculteur D9 motobecane S bloc fitted to a motocycle after internal gearing has been changed. Yes it can be done, but you need to manufacturer certain parts. The owner of this motocycle ironically said that they wished they had kept the motoculteur!
